    One really has to be a local resident and interested in Tablelands history to acknowledge the significance of the Peeramon Hotel. Especially the fact that after it was devastated in March, 2006 by Cyclone Larry, the proprietor managed to repair and re-open the establishment soon after. It's like a time machine where you can wind your watch back 50 years and accept the ambience for what it is.
